Plant Spirit Yoga w/ Sound Journey
April Ramee and Pedro Gil Rosas
Plant Spirit Yoga is a mixed level yoga class taught by yoga teacher and herbalist, April Rameé. Each class features a discourse on one single plant, a sample of the plant medicine (as a tea or liquid extract), and then a yoga practice designed to match the particular energetic and therapeutic value of the herb. This class is a great way to learn about plant medicines and to have an embodied experience of their powers. Each class will begin and end with a plant spirit meditation. Students will sip the tea while being guided through a meditation to connect with the essence of the plant. Throughout the yoga practice the teacher will guide students back to the spirit of the plant and help them to feel how it is working in their body while they are practicing. Students will leave the class with practical knowledge about the plant discussed and how to work with its medicine on their own. No prior herbal knowledge is required.
Throughout this class we will be guided by healing sound by Pedro Gil Rosas. During the final sivasana there will be a sound healing soundscape by April Rameé and Pedro Gil Rosas.
